DEFINITIONS

The definitions that follow are to be used with the discovery requests submitted herewith.

“Identify,” in the case of a person or legal entity, means to provide the name, last known mailing address, and last known telephone number and email address and and web site, if any.

“Document” means paper document, email, or other record containing information and perceptible by a human being either unaided or in connection with mechanical or electronic equiment.

“Coop” means the Ruby Ranch Internet Cooperative Association.

“DSL” means digital subscriber line.

“Barn” means the barn located nearby to the intersection of Ruby Road and Emerald Road in Summit County, Colorado.

“Neighborhood” means the neighborhood commonly known as Ruby Ranch, including Agate Road, Diamond Road, Emerald Road, Garnet Road, Jade Road, Opal Road, Pearl Road, Ruby Road, and Topaz Road, in Summit County.

“Remote Terminal” means the Qwest loop carrier facility located in Summit County on Badger Road.

“Highway 9 Pedestal” means a Qwest pedestal located at the intersection of Colorado State Highway 9 and Ruby Ranch Road in Summit County.

“Diamond Road Pedestal” means a Qwest pedestal located at the intersection of Diamond Road and Ruby Ranch Road in Summit County.

“Crossbox” means the Qwest cross-connection box located at the intersection of Ruby Road and Emerald Road in Summit County.

“DSLAM” means DSL access multiplexer.

“SDSL” means symmetric DSL.

“POTS” means plain old telephone service.

“LADS” means local area data service.

“Subloop” means a copper pair between the Crossbox and a residence in the Neighborhood, rented by the Coop from Qwest.

“Insurance Policy” means an insurance policy of an interconnecting company, naming Qwest as a beneficiary, required under an interconnect agreement or under an SGAT between the interconnecting company and Qwest.

“Proposed Service” means the SDSL service which the Coop proposes to provide, using a DSLAM located at the Barn and using DSL modems located at subscriber premises within the Neighborhood, the DSLAM and the DSL modems connected using Subloops.

“Coop Documents” means documents produced by the Coop to Qwest herewith, numbered 100 through 136.
