Did you have to obtain an ACNA and an OCN? How did you obtain them?

Qwest said we would have to obtain an ACNA (Access Carrier Name Abbreviation) and an OCN (Operating Company Number). We obtained one of each. Our ACNA is RRV and our OCN is 9812. As it turns out, we never actually needed the OCN. So Qwest forced us to spend $150 needlessly.

To get an ACNA, you need to contact Telcordia, 45 Knightsbridge Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854, phone 732-699-5577, fax 732-336-2778. When we When we got ours the price was $100. I am told they have increased the price to $350.

To get an OCN, you need to contact the National Exchange Carrier Association (NECA), 100 S. Jefferson Road, Whippany, NJ 07981, phone 973-884-8249, fax 973-884-8470. They charged us $150 for our code.
